The Kappa Foundation is Selected to Participate in the Association of Black Foundation Executives Catalyzing Communities Program

CATALYZING COMMUNITY GIVING

The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation was selected by the Association of Black Foundation Executives to participate in the Catalyzing Community Giving Institute (CCGI), October 1 – 4, 2015 at the Residence Inn National Harbor Washington, DC.  CCGI is designed to build the capacity of Black organizations by increasing their understanding of:

The national and regional philanthropic landscape and infrastructure of organized philanthropy;

Sound fundraising principles and techniques, including strategies and best practices for building and managing comprehensive development programs; and

ABFE’s Responsive Philanthropy in Black Communities framework as a strategy for transformative philanthropy.

As a result of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation’s participation in CCGI and follow-up activities, they will be able to increase individual giving to the Foundation and increase levels of philanthropic support for Black communities. The objective is to complete a strategic fundraising plan at the end of the workshop and receive coaching over a six-month period for implementation.
