The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation Capital Campaign is a four-year, $5,000,000 endeavor designed to raise funds to permanently establish the existence of critical programs, maintain an effective and efficient infrastructure to manage our philanthropic impact in the African-American communities that we serve and to increase awareness of the importance of the Fraternity Foundation’s work throughout the country.

The statistics facing young males of color are alarming!
- The African-American male has the lowest college completion rate of all students. Only 45% of these young men that attend college ever graduate
- 65% of our college males are balancing full-time employment, family responsibilities and college coursework
- 72% of the issues facing the African-American community are centered around education, economic inequality, and unemployment
While communities across the country are prospering, young men of color are facing a future that is virtually devoid of opportunities. We have to meet the young men of today and tomorrow where they are and help them to do more than find a pathway to success, but also, show them how to build their own way. That is the mission that is before us.
As a means to empower youth and create economic inclusion for the future, funds from this campaign will support programs that promote STEM education and careers, professional trade careers, and military service. This initiative is so critical and inspiring that five of our most prominent Kappa men have stepped forward to serve as Honorary Co-Chairmen for the New Way Forward Capital Campaign. They are:

Introducing the Legacy Giving Program:
All members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and its Silhouettes are eligible to join the Foundation’s new Legacy Giving Program. The program allows contributors to make substantial, tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation. You can achieve a Legacy level immediately in one donation or enter the program incrementally with an initial donation of at least $500. The first award level for members is the Foundation President’s Award at $2,500. Previous donors shall be given credit for past personal donations, but they must activate entry into the Legacy Giving Program with a minimum contribution of $500.
