Benevolence Fund

The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation Benevolence fund is utilized to support individuals and the local community who are in need during difficult times. The fund is not a loan but a grant when all other sources of financial need are exhausted. The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation Benevolence Fund is funded by donations from members or donors who can claim tax deductions for their contributions.

Purpose of the Benevolence Fund

The Benevolence Fund is a fund made available to members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Silhouettes who are struggling financially due to unforeseen circumstances, by application to the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation. Its receipts consist primarily of contributions from members of the Fraternity and friends, and its expenses consist of funds disbursed for its intended purposes at the direction of the Foundation Executive Committee and/or the Benevolence Fund Committee.

This fund is intended as a source of finance at a time of hardship and is used to help members who are facing serious financial challenges. Some of the issues may include: health issues, accidents, final expenses, or other similar factors.
