iKare Donations Now Being Accepted for Hurricane Dorian

Brothers All,

As you may be aware, Hurricane Dorian is currently classified as a Category 3 storm, which has maintained its unyielding onslaught on the Grand Bahama Island. Water has risen 12 to 18 feet above the normal tide levels and at least five lives have been lost. Recent reports indicate the hurricane will maintain a strong force and slowly make its way to the coast of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas by the end of the week.

Our brothers and their families in the impacted areas will be in great need of assistance. Kappa Alpha Psi and the Kappa Foundation are committed to helping our brothers in their time of need. I am asking the Southern Province Polemarch and the Southeastern Province Polemarch to conduct assessments to ensure we address as many needs as possible.

This is a clarion call to all our brothers worldwide to assist Kappa’s relief efforts by giving to the Kappa Foundation. There is no amount too small and all proceeds will be directed to our hurricane assistance work. Remember, “I Can Because iKare.” Please click the link to give to the iKARE: Disaster Relief fund.

Let us continue to keep our brothers in prayer and lend a helping hand wherever we can.

Yours in the Bond,
Reuben A. Shelton III, Esq.
Grand Polemarch
